Hi, I'm Daniela Hernandez
I define myself as an explorer of the unknown, and like any curious mind, I sometimes get lost. To stay on track, I constantly consult my intuition, which not only helps me to take better decisions but also generates more ideas. One such idea was: Can I become a technical director in animation studios?. I've been fascinated by animation production for long time, and this question reignited my interest. Currently, I am navigating the path and seeking opportunities to achieve this goal. I am fully dedicated to learning as much as possible.
A bit of everything...
Why your profile pic?
And why not? It's creepy but creative, and that's the charm of it! Hahaha. I know it resembles the Saw toy, but in a cute way :3
Why animated movies?
Animated movies were the bridge that initially led me to take the entertainment industry seriously, but they are not the only form of entertainment I am passionate about working in. When I discovered the complex process involved in the technical pipeline of production, my mind was blown. From that moment, I knew I wanted to be part of the technical team that supports computer animation production.
Why Computer animation or graphics?
The field merges three aspects I am passionate about: engineering, technology and art. Plus the intellectual challenges and the technical requirements, like mathematics, physics, and programming, make it a rich and stimulating field.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
Since I was 8 years old, I have been writing in a journal, and I collect them in my personal library. I call it my *time machine to the past*. For the future, I record myself in a personal video blog called *Dani of the Future*. This is a true story, and often, those words and videos give me a lot of inspiration.
What inspires you on a daily basis?
To be a better version of myself intellectually, physically, and mentally.
What are your favorite hobbies?
Walking aimlessly, watching movies, playing the drums (or imagining I'm playing them), and programming :).
What is a skill you wish to learn or improve?
I have a ton of skills I want to improve. Some of those are: asking for help more often, listening more, not overthinking, and being more social.
